X-ray vision is the power to see through solid objects. Many comic books and movies have characters with this ability, the most famous is probably Superman. X-Ray vision quite often doesn't involve X-Rays which would need to bounce of something and come back, instead it is usually just whatever the user decides he wants to see through just becomes transparent. Who wouldn't want to have X-Ray vision, its just plain awesome. You could see, like, through walls, through a lady's clothes.. or ... hmm... through walls... or even through a lady's clothes!

July 2009 Champion AwesomeOff user 'Love of the Awesome' made this nomination. In his words: The Universe, just try and imagine how big it is, just try, now that you have tried you know how awesome it really is, something so awesome the human brain can't fully realize how awesome it is...now that's awesome

Am I the only one who finds this one of the most boring Awesomeoff entries of all time? It basically amounts to "Infinite Distance" which can be a somewhat interesting concept to consider, but hardly deserving of a place the upper pantheon of Awesomnity. If you look at all the other Awesomeoff entries, they are people, things, or accomplishments. Infinite Distance is about as exciting as Perfect Roundness or Infinitely Repeating Numbers. Plus, shouldn't it at least be THE Extent of the Universe? That bothers me too. And don't even get me started on the fact that this entry's write-up is one of the worst run-on sentences I've ever read. It's practically an Infinite Distance Without Proper Punctuation.

Haha, I found the description of my paragraph to be quite amusing. Point well taken.

If they did I would sooner vote for Shit on a Bowl of Cornflakes than for Extent of the Universe.

Damn its awesome i mean awsomoff's are happening all thanks to that so called universe and its ridiculously far boundaries.. if they exist. Pretty darn awesome... its should be disqualified actually for unfair advantage.

I'm just not feeling "Extent of the Universe" this month. It seems to abstract, and as far as abstract concepts go, it's not even the most awesome. I'd vote for simple "infinity" or the Greek "Logos" over Extent of the Universe.

I have to say, this is shaping up to be the very first month where I just can't agree with the winner. I've got to vote for Wonka, because really I just don't see the awesomeness of "Extent of the Universe". Why not just nominate "Everything" or "Awesomeness itself"? It's just way too removed from the reality of anything humans can fully comprehend, and doesn't have that extra little "oomph" that would make it truly awesome - like the Greek "Logos" would have.
I'm not trying to bash here, and I'm sorry if EofU is your type of awesome, but I find myself for the first time just going, "meh". Here's looking forward to August!
