Special Selection October 08 Bigfoot.. where do we start? There are so many angles of the Bigfoot myth/legend that make it incredibly great. Very few really believe in Sasquatch, but even fewer would not be totally stoked if he did exist. Perhaps Bigfoot's biggest accomplishment is that he has created an entire department of "science". There are actually college professors, with PHD's that believe in him. That's not something that can be said for Unicorns, Gryphons, or Dragons. Stumbling into Sasquatch in the woods can be a hobby, a life long dream, a camper's nightmare, or hell, a career.

Having been a fan and follower of this sport since 2004, I can say without any reservation that it is the most exciting, hard hitting, and awesome sport to watch. It's got something for just about everyone: amazing action, speed, hitting, strategy, beautiful women of all shapes and sizes, and it's totally DIY - almost universally skater owned and operated! Roller derby is the sporting incarnation of awesome itself!

When I think of roller derby I can't help but remember those jerks at the skating rink when I was a kid who think they're ultra cool with their professional speed skating skills. sigh.

There's a big difference though!!! In derby we believe anyone can do it and we are always willing to teach!! This sport is only going to continue to grow if we share the love of it! Sharing is caring!!! Lol!! Sorry I adore this sport!!!

Yes, those derby girls in their fishnets and short skirts must certainly be full of testosterone because regualr women can't possibly be aggressive without being manly.
