Reliant Robin
RELIANT ROBIN
Rank: Blade TinManCometh
Nominated by TinManCometh

The Reliant Robin is a three wheeled car made by the Reliant Auto company in the UK. What makes it awesome is the fact that it only has three wheels. You are allowed to drive it if you have a motorcycle license. The car was made for 30 years and 29 of those it was just a joke until the TV show Top Gear converted it into a rocket shuttle, but even as a shuttle it failed. All you have to do to understand its awesomeness is look at some pictures of it.

PEEKARU
Home Slice
Nominated by Home Slice

The newest member of the marsupial family is the Peekaru. This crazy new animal has a super soft fleece fur that has actually been enhanced by the consumption of plastic bottles.  This new creature seems quite tame and has been know to frequent weekend youth soccer games.

The Peekaru has been spotted in a variety of colors: black, gray, green, lavender and blue.  The location of the pouch seems to vary from the front to the back,  and taking the marsupial gene pool to the next level, the male Peekaru comes equipped with a pouch so that he too can care for his young.

If you would like to check out a Peekaru in person visit TogetherBe for a list of locations.

I would really like to see a peekaru vs. snuggie vs. boyfriend pillow vs. SkyRest pillow vs. couch dress death match. reply

The winner of this matchup should go against mock apple pie in an aweless off championship. reply

Except the Robin is 4-4. So it's Awesome half the time. Peekaru is never awesome. reply

True true. There should be a supplemental aweless off that we all could vote on so some of the 0 fers could get some wins. reply

If Peekaru had been billed as your very own Quatto costume, would that have earned it some awesome points? reply

Alright, I'm gonna go ahead and [try to] make the argument for the Peekaru. (A) I promotes bonding between parent and child. (B) It allows the child to be warmed by the parent's body heat. (C) It's got a cooler name than a "Baby Bjorn". (D) It contains the little ankle-biters so they can't run over and bother me. (E) It's like baby a transportation unit AND a straight-jacket in one. Alright, that's about the best I can do...sorry Peekaru inventors... reply

Rank: Pepper lilatene
lilatene replied to the_mad_nader on 6/9/2009
I thought argument D was compelling, but then I realized the peekaru only contains the kids' movement, not the sound. If it had some kind of soundproof bubble (that lets air through), I'd be all for it. reply

Top Gear GTW! The Stig and the Robin need all the love they can get. Although, The Stig would never be caught dead behind the wheel of a Robin. reply

Macs are awesome. Not to be snarky about Windows machines, because they're good for some applications (I.E. databases, spreadsheets, World of Warcraft...), but MacIntoshes are better for Mathematica, Quark, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, which are the programs I use. reply

Sooner or later they will battle in an epic UnAwesomeOff competition. The winner will maintain its dignity, while the other will wallow in shame, eating Spam and Mock Apple Pie for all eternity. reply

Rank: Tom Olav Rokne
Olav Rokne replied to The McBoxman on 6/5/2009
Peekaru is far less awesome than Chindogu. Chindogu is about the spirit of inovation, which is awesome, combined with an inability to separate the wheat from the chaff. Peekaru combines creepy with crappy. Plus it involves children, and children are inherently not awesome. reply

The Dude replied to Olav Rokne on 6/5/2009
