Napoleon! He gave birth to the modern world. He put the pansy ass nobility in their place and started judging his peeps for what they actually did ( with special focus on what they did for him.) He blazed the trail for equality, democracy, for all the power hungry bastards to follow. He realized history would tell what ever story was written or painted..so he posed like the emperor. Bling and all. Hell, they guy carried painters with him in battle to paint heroic portraits of him, how awesome is that?

          MARILYN MANSON
Shock-Rocker and artist, Marilyn Manson is a bit more complex than your average musician. He was born Brian Hugh Warner but picked the stage name Marilyn Manson from the combination of Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson. His performances have gotten a rap of enticing the youth to suicidal and inappropriate behaviors. He has a habit of doing things that challenge mainstream normalcy. Whether he is really as 'dark' as he wants us to believe or not, he did actually cut himself 158 times after his x-girlfriend wouldn't answer 158 of his calls. To numb his melancholy he has created his own brand of absinthe named Mansinthe. And his watercolor art seems to be a successful outlet. He seeks to be a disparent voice to the culture of 'Don't Worry Be Happy', and you have to hand it to him, he pulls that off. Go ahead and worry, be miserable. Goth isn't for everyone, but it certainly fills a void for millions of youth, and Manson is perhaps the goth industry's Michael Jordan.

Can we please get Manson 1 win this month? The guy pushes the envelope like it's going out of style and has some pretty deep stuff backing all of his shock-rocker imagery. He's dedicated to his craft and does it in a way nobody before or since does it. He just straight up doesn't care what people think of him, just that his point gets across. I don't mean to be a crybaby because something I like isn't winning, but I've voted for Manson every single time (unless I missed a matchup due to work) and I don't think he's been close to winning more than maybe once. If I'm not making a difference at all with my votes then I'm going to be a little irritated.

I feared Manson would not do well this month. Expected the same for Daft Punk after seeing what happened to Tiesto. I think in general musicians are a harder sell. But I never imagined Tim and Eric could go 0-11 though..

I think musicians ARE a hard sell - and while I respect MM, even I think sometimes he takes the easy route in his efforts to push societal buttons. Yeah, drop the f-bomb, talk about the devil, wear make-up...yada, yada, yada - dude still dated pin up models! Despite that, I still think he way more awesome than the celebration of base gluttony!

I have heard that Marilyn Manson once threw a puppy into the stands and told the attendees to rip it apart before he played...hopefully it is a myth, but if not, that is about as un-awesome a person can possibly get.

I'm far from an expert, but I understand there are a lot of horrible rumors about Manson stemming from his shock rocker style. From what I can tell he's a good person and very very intelligent, so I doubt such claims.

Sounds like nasty rumours started by the right-wingers that are afraid of Manson's image. Manson is a pretty Awesome guy, and his fans are usually pretty misunderstood as well.

Didn't all historic leaders take war artists to the front with them? Surely that's where all the war paintings of battles that didn't involve Boney come from: you know, like King Billy crossing the Boyne on his white stallion, the Charge of the Light Brigade, etc? And let's not forget Boney got pwned by His Grace the 1st Duke of Wellington, and modelled his own image for those portraits on the Rt Hon the 1st Viscount Nelson.

This is true. Although Blackadder Goes Forth was my favourite series, some of my favourite episodes appear in Blackadder the Third, that particular one is top of the list.
