The joy of painting for me can only last so long in a setting with a body of water, happy trees, and a mountainous body looming in the background. Don't get me wrong, happy trees get me through the day but I don't think I could handle painting the same thing over and over. No matter how effing realistic!

I think one of the things most awesome about Bob Ross is how many people he inspired. I knew a whole bunch of my friend's moms would get together and paint to VCR recorded episodes of his show while we were at school. The paintings are not really my cup of tea, but what artist has inspired more work, created by other's hands than Bob Ross?

I think.... I think this would be awesome if Fred Rogers had the kid teach him how to "wave" and then he could do it really really well. But since his dancing is sorta half-ass, I say not awesome... but it IS really sweet.

I just watched this for the 14th time, and I still can't believe it. I think Mr. Rogers single handedly set white people dancing back 100 years.
