"Define the word awesome using a carbon-based life form weighing less than 50 lbs."

The only answer possible... is Little Superstar.

I wonder if Little Superstar could have gotten Mister Rogers to bust a slightly less awkward move? And while a sweet, kind, middle aged man who's not afraid to look silly is really awesome, the Little Superstar inspires a little bit more awe in me reply high five

I don't think its about being afraid to look silly, its having no clue of how silly you look, or just being willing to look silly and not worry about it. That's what was so awesome about Mr. Rogers--he knew what he was doing was right, even if it wasn't the best job in hollywood. He never needed to use his fame to do other things, he never needed to grow out of his role. He was a simple, silly old man that talked softly and played with trains and puppets. But it was ok for us to love and respect him, because he never f***ed us over. He never got caught with a prostitute, or committing lude acts with strangers. He never had a scandal, he just lived the life. I think to many he was simply the one parental or elder figure who didn't let us down. We watched our parents get divorced, turn back into single people, and put themselves ahead of us. We never wanted them to be real people with real lives--we never wanted to wonder if mom got laid last night. We just wanted Mom to be Mom, knit us hats and bake us cookies. We just wanted dad to tickle us and throw us up in the air and fart and inappropriate moments. We didn't want dad to drag us to meet our new step siblings and tell us not to embarrass him. Little by little everyone we saw as fantasy figures as a child turned into a real people. The fun uncle went to jail. We learned that the cool old bearded dude that always had a funny question for us turned out to be a drunk. Many of our other heroes turned out to be lies or perhaps just actors. But not Mr. Rogers. Mr. Rogers lived in the neighborhood of make believe when we first got to know him, and 20 years later when our kids got to know him he was still there. Mr Rogers doing the wave to me is even a step further. Here's a guy wanting to expose us to break dancing, because he thought we would think it was neat. How many of us shy away from the dance floor because we aren't good enough? How many of us don't make eye contact with small children because we are afraid people will think we are pedophiles? I'd go so far as to say Fred Rogers was a stronger man than the one with no name. He was simply a rock, willing to fill a role that millions needed him to fill. This is a crazy messed up word for sure.. I'm going to side with Mr. Rogers doing the Wave more often than not. Its totally awesome, he was totally awesome, and as a former child, current parent and future old man, I'm not sure I've met a better role model than Fred Rogers. reply high five

Fred Rogers is one of the few people I've nominated for sainthood. Patron saint of values. I started saying this when he died, but this statement above just added to his legacy. Kinder words couldn't have been said. When I die I hope he's my neighbor. reply high five

There is no doubt in my mind that if we sent Little Superstar back in time 2009 years and he did this dance he would have out shined Jesus and have overtaken the title of 'son of god'. reply high five

I think.... I think this would be awesome if Fred Rogers had the kid teach him how to "wave" and then he could do it really really well. But since his dancing is sorta half-ass, I say not awesome... but it IS really sweet. reply high five

I just watched this for the 14th time, and I still can't believe it. I think Mr. Rogers single handedly set white people dancing back 100 years. reply high five
