Special Selection July 2009 Litteral video versions are pretty big fad on YouTube, but the art is being perfected more with each posted video. The concept is simple, there is nothing more pretentious and random than your average 1980's music video. You listen to the song, and maybe don't fully pay attention to how completely lame the visual story is in the video. Fast forward 25 years, and some talented artists are re-recording new lyrics to these lame visuals, and the result is pure gold. The first video in this playlist has more awesome than can be taken in just one viewing. "What the effing crap, that angel guy just felt me up" - pure genius

5th Place January 09 Phenom. Messiah. Revolutionary. Savior. Superhero. Barack Hussein Obama II will be sworn in to the United State presidency on January 20th, 2009. He will be the first black president in the history of the United States, a country who's history began with 337 years of slavery. He is a Harvard Graduate with a Juris Doctor magna cum laude (if you don't know what that is, just trust me, its awesome). He went from state senator, to US Senator, to President of the United States in four years. What more could Barack possibly accomplish? Awesomeoff champion maybe??

I think the Ah-ha one is great, but I can not find the original. I'm not going to post the one with that douche from digg, I want the original without the intro or starwars crap at the end. I just can't find it!

This also has Dustin's other three literal videos. Take On Me and Under The Bridge were banned from his YouTube account (though other YT users repost them).
Dust Films (DustoMcNeato on YT) originated the literal video. The four by him, and the eight by DASjr Productions (dascottjr on YT) seem to be the most highly regarded, though HomeStarRunnerTron's two are well-produced, and worth a look.

Ok, so I had to try it, with 8 foot snow drifts in the yard, what could go wrong...... Aieeeeeeeeeeee............ 25 foot drop to 8 foot drift, and I missed the greenhouse......... In hospital.... doc is putting in metal rod in about 30 minutes.... Amputation could be next, I don't know. This really sucks. Obama is more awesome

obviously metal rods put anywhere in your body is awesome. Trying to jump across a 25 foot drop on your first freerunning attempt... not so much. (also... when these pros freerun what they're doing is dangerous, not stupid)

obama is not going to solve all of our problems, or all of the world's problems. no single individual has all of the answers.
BUT obama is handsome, articulate, intelligent, has great charisma, an open mind, a really cool name, and an excellent foreign policy. he's exactly the kind of leader we need. yay!
