![]() ![]() JULIE MOSS AT THE 1982 IRONMAN
Julie Moss entered the 1982 Ironman in Hawaii as research for her physiology thesis. With two miles left in the race, she found herself well in the lead but severely dehydrated. Pressing on in a painstaking battle between mind and body Julie was 30 meters from the finish line when she was passed by another female athlete. When others would have quit, she continued with awe inspiring determination crawling through the finish line on all fours. This moment—a second place finish—is considered one of the greatest moments in not only Ironman history but one of greatest moments in the history of ABC's long running World Wide of Sports.

The ancient art of shrinking human heads originated within the Jivaro tribe from deep in the Amazon. The Jivaro were a war-like people who believed in blood revenge. Warriors would remove the enemies head and shrink it as a trophy known as a tsantsa. This trophy possessed the enemies soul and was believed to have magical powers.

I had never heard of Julie Moss before, but damn... that's impressive and awesome.
Simply because she's less famous than Krull, I think she will not win this match. But she should. That's damned awesome. reply $('entrytextbox1040').style.overflow='auto';$('entryinfobox1040').style.overflow='auto';$('entrystatsbox1040').style.overflow='auto';initSlide('1040',1);$('entrytextbox1030').style.overflow='auto';$('entryinfobox1030').style.overflow='auto';$('entrystatsbox1030').style.overflow='auto';initSlide('1030',5);$('entriescomments').style.overflow='auto';currentEntryComplete=false;setRandomLoading();
