You may be thinking: Ants? Those tiny annoying insects that invade my backyard BBQ?

Think again, ants have created an organized social network that covers the world over (minus Antarctica). For every human there are 1 million ants. Their kingdom actually makes up more than 10% of the world's animal biomass.

Each ant has 250,000 brain cells, not bad for an insect (It has been estimated that an ant's brain may have the same processing power as a Macintosh II computer.)

Now take in the fact that ants operate as a colony, a super-organism.....feeling challenged? They can carry 10-20 times their body weight, can smell as well as dogs. They have mastered division of labor, farming, cultivation, childcare, education, climate control, earth moving, social planning, engineering, civic duties, armed forces, security, communication and flood control.

Ants can even solve complex problems. Check out this group making a raft. They can survive two days underwater, do not sleep and can keep sperm viable for 15 years.

DON KING
Rank: George Ivan Awesomeoff
Nominated by Ivan Awesomeoff

Don King isn't your ordinary Boxing Promoter with extraordinary hair. His promoting accomplishments include "The Rumble in the Jungle," and the "Thrilla in Manila." He has represented some of Boxing greatest: Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, and Evander Holyfield. He even managed the Jacksons' 1984 Victory Tour.

Don't let his goofy appearance fool you though. King is about as gritty as they come. He has been indited and sued more times than he has fingers, and has even killed a couple guys who had done him wrong. He's simultaneously the King, and the Don, and a character like him can exist "Only in America".
