There is no technical advantage to a cyclops. If you really think about it, if you had to choose a monster to fight, having him handicapped by possessing only one eye would be a pretty big advantage, especially when the typical cyclops is much larger and meaner than you are.

But there is still something about that eye that is freaky-cool. Its like somehow by centering it in the head, its better connected to the brain. Their lack of eyes is almost always compensated by large size, huge muscles, great fighting skills and a nasty demeanor.

Cyclopes first emerged in Greek mythology, and were described by Hesiod, Homer, Euripides, Theocritus, and Virgil, but perhaps most awesomely, an 8 foot tall cyclops appeared in the movie Krull.
